Post Thirty Five Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Insecurity)

Posted By Mark on March 17, 2010

Let’s take a look just how this word for the week makes us react. People are treated for anxiety… Put on and fed a host of man made drugs to battle their “feelings” of uncertainty and lack of confidence..

What does God say about insecurity
1) we should neither “fear” nor “dread”.
2) We shall always have a place of refuge
3) No weapon formed against me shall prosper.
4) We should not fear for our business as he makes all things work together for our good.
5) We have strength and power bestowed upon us

Why then still the total unbelief that “He” is our source and as such walking living by faith brings us into all that he promises.
We would rather put our trust in the Doctor or Pharmacy and what they have to offer..right no wonder then you need those things to make you believe in yourself.

Even a child knows confidence is built over time,,,watch a new born try and find it’s feet
It will only attempt that walk across the living room once it has built up enough confidence or self confidence.

I challenge you then approach God, seek and build up your confidence in him. Keep a dairy and see how your “self-confidence” grows as each step brings you into his promises above.

Psalm 27:1 The Lord is my Light and my Salvation- whom shall I fear or Dread.

Proverbs 1:33 I hearken unto wisdom and dwell securely and in confident trust and I am quiet, without fear or dread of evil.

Isaiah 54:17 No weapon formed against me shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against me in judgement I shall show to be in the wrong.

Post Thirty Four Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Humility and Pride

Posted By Mark on March 2, 2010

I greet you all in the Wonderful Name of My Lord and Savour Jesus Christ

Noticed we have a plethora of “Reality Shows” to choose from on the telly at present. The one’s most interesting to my “intellect” are those such as “Last Comic Standing”, “So you think you can Dance.
What comes across when judging is that in all instances after having performed the Judges or Judge would either complement the performer for his/her “Modesty”. On the other hand they would lambaste the”bad” performer for his or her Smugness/Self importance.

Sorry are we not watching a show specifically about the “talent” at hand or are we in for a bashing of the “confident” and “extrovert” sorts.
Bit off the point their anyhow……. Humility/Pride serve their purpose, one can be Humble without having to be perceived as “meek” and Full of Pride without having to come across as Conceited or superior.”

This said my meditation and “say it out aloud and “Proud” scripture for this week follows…

Psalm 25:9 He Leads the Humble in what is right, and the Humble He teaches His way.

Proverbs 11:2 When swelling and Pride come, then emptiness and shame come also, but with the humble are skilful and godly Wisdom and Soundness.

Proverbs 29:23 Pride lands me flat on my face, but humility prepares me for honour.

Post Thirty Three Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Hope

Post Thirty Three Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Hope
I greet you all in the Wonderful Name of My Lord and Savour Jesus Christ

Hope also referred to as to expect (verb) to anticipate or look forward to/expectation (Noun) Optimism or Faith.

The world at present is filled with people and the only thing that keeps them going is hope. One look at the news on the television or newspapers and we see the reason for this Hope.
So many negatives impacting bang, bang, another one and so on………. We wonder when will this end?
Lesson I learnt early on in Marriage, what we focus on or what we allow our attention to be focused on is what will drive our daily life and choices we make… Remember what we make of our world is ultimately up to us.

My challenge to you and myself then, let our focus be of a Positive Nature. Let’s expect the unexpected…..Any reason we cannot hold a succesfull SoccerWorld cup?
expect the unexpected..
Our Government will not keep promises or follow through? Let’s anticaipate that positive change and make it a reality with our focus.

When looking forward to a weekend away at camp my Kids would talk of the “get away”. They would plan it, dream of it, expect it in anticipation and look forward to every moment with so much faith and hope.

Let us then erase the negatives that hold us back and plan, dream, expect, anticipate and have faith that what we hold dear and have Hope in will come to pass.

Claim your Hope, your desire and hold onto it, do not give it away lack of faith ultimately makes null and void our chances of seeing our hope come to pass.

Proverbs 13:12 Hope deferred makes my heart sick, but when my desire is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.

Romans 12:12 I rejoice and exult in hope, I am steadfast and patient in suffering and tribulation, constant in prayer.

Post Thirty Two Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Holiness

Post Thirty Two Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Holiness
I greet you all in the Wonderful Name of My Lord and Savour Jesus Christ

What is it to be holy? A way of life, your lifestyle
A few words we could relate to Holiness are Piety, devoutness, purity and Godliness.

Which one relates to you? I am sure each of us sees this word and it’s meaning from a different perspective. This is as it should be because we were created that way.
For me personally Holiness transcends into Purity and Godliness.
Purity in this world is hard to maintain, but as the word suggests we need to maintain our Holiness or Purity. One way is by daily fulfilling my challenge of speaking out God’s word aloud. Would you?

Maintenance allows us to re-do the bad parts over, striving for the best or good way to live, work and play. Godliness as it suggests is to live the way would bring us closer to God.
How? Living the Christ like manner, as no one is perfect we are made perfect through him. Bringing us to holiness,
As for me in Godliness and Purity.

Leviticus 20:7 I consecrate myself therefore and I will be holy, for he is the Lord my God.

Ephesians 1:4 I am constantly renewed in the spirit of my mind (Having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude), and put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, (Godlike) in true righteousness and holiness.

Colossians 1:2 God has reconciled me by Christ’s physical body through death to present me holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation.

Post Thirty Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Hearing from God

Posted By Mark on January 6, 2010

I greet you all in the Wonderful Name of My Lord and Savour Jesus Christ

Please may I request you take some time to read and fully understand what I am trying to get over in my writing to you! We use all our senses to best understand what is being communicated to us. However this chapter calls that we Listen, Hear from God.
In today’s fast paced life, with every second of our waken state being competed for by so much around us how then do we hear.
Firstly make time, set time apart to enable yourself to hear from God. Daily take time, schedule it to be with the Creator, Source of Life.
In today’s hectic life we make time for TV programmes, Kids, Work, Socialising but never enough to hear from God. I myself am guilty of this and have daily struggles when I first started doing this because it interfered with “my” time

Sit down, watch your breathing calm yourself and open up to God’s prescence.
NB: How ARE WE SUPPOSED TO HEAR

Romans 10:17 Faith comes by Hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

John 10.27 I am one of God’s sheep and His sheep hear His voice.

James 1:2-25 I do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive myself. I do what it says. Anyone who listens to the word but does not do what it says is like a man who looks at his face in a mirror and, after looking at himself, goes away and immediately forgets what he looks like. But the man who looks intently into the oerfect law that gives freedom, and continues to do this, not forgetting what he has heard, but doing it- he will be blessed in what he does.

Post Twenty Eight Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Guilt and Condemnation

Posted By Mark on August 11, 2009

I greet you all in the Wonderful Name of My Lord and Savour Jesus Christ

So much to say on this subject so little time, what a cliché;

We carry so much Guilt in our daily lives / condemnation, the word tells us that this is not the way God intended his children to live.
The Bible tells us that because Jesus died we are washed, our sins forgiven free of Guilt and Condemnation.

Today friends put it to the test speak out aloud the scriptures below, meditate on them, ask the intelligent questions from God and surely he will answer you…
Make it your “right” to be free of Guilt and condemnation. Claim this right through the Blood of the Lamb, let the all consuming fire of a “Right life with God” show you the way and surely the Holy Spirit himself will convict you and gentle guide you to those deep truths that ultimately set you free…..Peace be with you all this evening.

Psalm 18:23 I am ever on Guard to keep myself free from sin and guilt.

Psalm 51: 7-9 Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. God makes me to hear joy and gladness and I am satisfied. God hides His face from my sins and blots out all my
Guilt and inequities.

Romans 3:11-12, 21-2 No one understands, no one seeks out` God. All have turned aside, together they have gone wrong and have become unprofitable and worthless, and no one does right, not even one! But now the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ for all who believe. It is meant for me.

Romans 8:33-34 God does not condemn me because he has justified me, Jesus does not condemn me because He is seated at the right hand of God pleading for me in intercession.

Post Twenty Seven Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Grace

Posted By Mark on July 10, 2009

I greet you all in the Wonderful Name of My Lord and Savour Jesus Christ

The Lord’s Grace can best be described for me that is as Kindness, Benevolence, Blessing and his unmerited Favour.

What ever it means to you personally, claim it today, accept that an awesome God can bestow his Grace and Mercy on you a lowly sinner that you are. In our state of sin is when this all works at it’s best.

This Friday wherever you are I challenge you to accept his Grace by talking out aloud what the Bible says.

Luke 2:40 I am growing and becoming strong in spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God is upon me.

Romans 5:20-21 where sin abounds, grace abounds much more, so that as sin reigns in death, even so grace might rein through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Post Twenty Three: Speaking THE WORD OF GOD. (Daily scripture Faith

Posted By Mark on June 15, 2009

I greet you all in the Wonderful Name of My Lord and Savour Jesus Christ

Our belief our Faith, means something different to everyone on earth. For some that decide on their own free will not to have a belief system, then what is their faith, what do they trust in, what do they rely on?

If we were to ponder those things I would be here next week trying to explain them.

What I do know is what my faith is and where my reliance and belief system stem from.

Faith comes from listening, talking out aloud the word of God, What is not faith as the Bible says is sin wow think about that statement…

Habakkuk 2: I am a just person. I shall live by faith.

Romans14.23 Faith comes from listening to this message of good news-the Good News about Christ.

Romans 14:23 whatever is not of faith is sin.

1 Corinthians 2:5 My faith does not rest in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

2 Corinthians 5:7 I live by faith, not by sight
